North Sea 2018 Campaign

    • FutureWaves was operated in the North Sea from April through August of 2018 aboard a large offshore construction/crane vessel
    • Wave buoys, currently considered the industry standard for wave measurements, were also employed during certain periods of this campaign
    • As shown on the figure to the left, FutureWaves measurements correlated closely to the wave buoy data
    • Additionally, limitations in buoy measured directional accuracy as described in Wave Radar vs Wave Buoy lead us to believe that FutureWaves’ radar based data has greater fidelity and could replace buoys as the industry standard wave measurement tool
